Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how FinSense.Money (“FinSense”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our platform and services. By accessing or using FinSense, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you register for an account or use our features. This includes your name, email address, and any financial data you choose to enter into the platform such as income, expenses, budgets, goals, assets, and liabilities.
We also automatically collect limited technical information when you access the service, including device and browser details, operating system, IP address, time zone, and general usage data such as pages visited and features used. This information helps us keep the platform secure and improve the overall user experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and maintain the FinSense platform, to calculate your Finance Health Score, and to personalise the insights and summaries we show you.
We also use your information to send you important product updates, security notifications, and communications related to your account, and to continuously improve the reliability, performance, and accuracy of the platform.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure, access-controlled servers. All information is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS and at rest using strong cryptographic algorithms. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or financial data to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. Access to your data within FinSense is limited to authorised personnel who require it to operate and support the service.
4. Your Rights under the DPDP Act 2023
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information, and to request that we erase your personal data, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain it.
To exercise any of these rights, please write to us at thefinsensemail@gmail.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request to ensure the security of your account.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal and financial data for as long as your account remains active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service to you.
If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within thirty (30) days of your request, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
6. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to operate FinSense, including Google Analytics for aggregated usage measurement and Supabase for authentication and database hosting.
Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policies and terms. We encourage you to review their policies to understand how they handle information.
